At Crowdbotics, we have daily conversations with entrepreneurs, domain experts, and executives about how to bring their great ideas to life. This year we began curating this data and compiling it into quarterly reports to help surface app development trends and opportunities in hopes that it would help more people across all industries finally choose to bring their ideas to life.

Here are some key highlights from the Q2 InnovatIon Map from Crowdbotics:

• App demand remained steady among the top 15 sectors we work within when compared to Q1, except for Healthcare, which dropped by 13%, perhaps due in part to waning worries around COVID and less demand for virtual care apps.
• The cost to build the top 15 types of apps we help businesses create and launch increased in Q2, reflecting more sophisticated and powerful builds across the board.
• The prevalence of and demand for Business Intelligence, Performance Management, Accounting, Investment, and Reporting apps increased in Q2. We expect to see volume increase in these areas as businesses refocus efforts on profitable growth amid a possible economic downturn.
